Several new items...
have been added to our Starting Lineup inventory, including new items from Donald Veal, Drew Stubbs, and Hank Conger.  Check their pages to see the new items...pricing should be set late this week but feel lfree to make an offer on any items you are interested in.

We also had the opportunity over the past couple of weeks to have several jerseys from our Authentic Collection signed.  This includes jerseys from Kasey Kiker, Johnny Whittleman, Tommy Hunter (all playing with Frisco); Wyatt Toregas, Michael Aubrey, John Meloan (all playing with Columbus); and Homer Bailey (playing with Louisville).

We had a great time this past week seeing our client (and little brother) Jai Miller in Memphis (playing for the New Orleans Zephyrs).  We were able to celebrate his first homerun of the season with a terrific (as always) meal of ribs and all the fixings at Rendezvous after Wednesday night's game.  We also enjoyed meeting with Ryan Tucker and look forward to receiving new items from Ryan soon.

This week we will be meeting with Nick Green and, hopefully, a couple of new clients with the Brewers and Cardinals.

First road trip of the season...
What a great weekend!  My oldest son, Caison, and I were able to break away to Louisville, Kentucky to catch the Bats vs. the Columbus Clippers and visit with clients Jordan Brown (Indians) and Drew Stubbs (Reds).  We had a great time and enjoyed getting to treat these two great young athletes (and a couple of their teammates) to a free meal and spend some time checking in on how their offseasons went.

Louisville is one of the truly great sports towns to visit.  Besides having a great stadium right along the river bank (Louisville Slugger Field), it is also, of course, home to the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum (not to mention the home of the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs, the University of Louisville, and Muhammed Ali).  It is a very worthwhile getaway for a weekend!

The Bats were able to pull off wins in both ends of a Saturday night double-header...a very impressive feat against a team (Columbus) with one of the more prospect-laden rosters in the Minors.  If you have the chance, catch Columbus early, as their current roster includes top prospects Jordan Brown, Wes Hodges, Matt LaPorta, Michael Brantley, Jon Meloan, David Huff, Luis Valbuena, Chris Gimenez, Stephen Head, Michael Aubrey, and Wyatt Toregas.

This week includes trips to Little Rock to meet with clients J.T. Restko, Hank Conger, and Robert Mosebach and Memphis to see Jai Miller.

Opening Day reflections
Congratulations to all of our clients who saw action Opening Day (and those on their teams active rosters scheduled to see their first action later this week)!

We had the privilege of attending the opener at Busch Stadium in St. Louis (vs. Pittsburgh), thanks to our gracious host, Donnie Veal.  We appreciate Donnie taking the time to have breakfast with us, where he provided us with some great new items from his first big league Spring Training...check out his Starting Lineup page to see the lastest gear from his first Spring with the Pirates.

For those of you who don't know a lot about Donnie, take the time to get to know his story.  He is a very gifted athlete and a very gracious young man who has faced challenges off the field that most wouldn't have the courage to face and continue on their chosen path.  You will not find many guys today who are easier to cheer for than Donnie.  We certainly wish him the best this year in his relievers role with the Pirates!

Donnie has also asked that the proceeds from future sales of his items be donated to the American Cancer Society.  Now our customers purchasing Donnie's items can not only be assured they are getting authentic game-used items directly from his personal collection, but that their money is also going to be used to help this worthy cause.

We will be in Memphis (TN) this Thursday, Louisville (KY) over the weekend, Little Rock (AR) Monday afternoon, and Memphis Monday-Thursday nights next week meeting with clients and getting new items from Spring Training.  Be sure to check our site frequently over the next few weeks as we continue to add items to our inventory and clients to our Starting Lineup!

Crowe / Veal earn Opening Day MLB roster spots...
We would like to congratulate Trevor Crowe and Donald Veal for earning Opening Day roster spots with the Indians and Pirates!  We are excited about the opportunity to see Donald in his first Major League action this Monday in the season-opener at St. Louis.

We are also in the process of finalizing new deals with three exciting young prospects.  We expect to receive items from these three highly rated prospects with the Rockies, Padres, and Phillies within the next 2-3 weeks.  We also have a couple of young MLB stars currently considering joining our Starting Lineup, and hope to have deals worked out with them in the next 2-3 weeks and have items in stock by late-May.
